PRESIDENT BIDEN CALLS FOR CODIFYING ROE V. WADE WHILE MAGA EXTREMISTS PUSH NATIONWIDE ABORTION BAN
President Biden pushing for exception to the filibuster in order to codify the right to access abortion and protect the right to privacy
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Biden continues to make clear that he will use every tool at his disposal to defend the freedom to access abortion. Today, he called on the Senate to make an exception to the filibuster rule in order to pass legislation to codify Roe v. Wade, protect the right of women to make their own health care decisions, and protect the right to privacy. President Biden has defended these fundamental rights for decades — while MAGA extremists on the Court and across the country push for a nationwide ban on abortion, bans with no exceptions for rape or incest, and legislation that would punish women and doctors seeking and providing care.
President Biden is committed to doing everything in his power to protect a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.

MAGA extremists, on the other hand, are pushing for a nationwide abortion ban, to criminalize women and doctors who seek and perform abortions, and other dangerous measures.
