Washington, D.C. — Today, as President Biden travels to Howell, Michigan to highlight how passing the Build Back Better Agenda and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal would create jobs, lower costs, and make the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share, Building Back Together is making a six-figure investment on TV in the state to boost the President’s agenda with a testimonial featuring Mike, a retired steelworker from Michigan.

In the ad, Mike says that he believes “Joe Biden is on my side” and highlights the President’s plans to lower costs on essentials like healthcare and prescription drugs, make big corporations pay their fair share, and ensure blue collar workers like him are able to retire with dignity. 

The additional investment in Michigan’s 8th and 11th Congressional districts comes on the heels of Building Back Together’s recently announced nearly $5 million ad campaign across 25+ House Districts, which itself was on top of a previously announced $10 million in spending to boost the Build Back Better Agenda. In aggregate, the Build Back Better War Room has coordinated more than $150 million in paid media and on-the-ground organizing to ensure the President’s full agenda is signed into law. 

Polling has consistently shown that the Build Back Better Agenda is overwhelmingly popular with the American people, and research by Building Back Together has shown that Members of Congress who back the agenda see a 17-point boost in support in battleground states and House districts.
