ICYMI: POTUS FIGHTS FOR WORKING PEOPLE WHILE MAGA PLAN CATERS TO ULTRA RICH AND BIG PHARMA

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Yesterday, President Biden traveled to Maryland to speak with IBEW members about the ways his administration is fighting for working people and growing our economy from the bottom up and middle out. The president continues to deliver wins for working families – including record job creation, higher wages, infrastructure investments, and lower costs – and has a plan to finish the job he’s started.

He’s going to build on this economic progress and stand firm against Congressional Republicans’ proposals to raise costs, cut Social Security and Medicare, and increase the deficit by $3 trillion. These MAGA plans are massive giveaways to the ultra rich, big corporations, and Big Pharma at the expense of working families – and President Biden won’t stand for them.

Biden used his speech to further lean into his efforts to contrast his plans with Republicans’ agenda, focusing particularly on the debt ceiling impasse as well as GOP-endorsed legislation that the administration argues would constitute “a massive giveaway to the super-rich, big corporations, and Big Pharma.”

In a speech at a union hall in suburban Maryland, Biden accused Republicans, who now control the House of Representatives, of pushing him to agree to spending cuts, while their own plans would add $3 trillion to the debt.
