ICYMI: NEW POLL FROM NAVIGATOR RESEARCH SHOWS STRONG SUPPORT FOR BIDEN’S ECONOMIC PLAN AND TAX PROPOSALS

Majorities support President Biden’s economic plan both nationally and in battleground states

Washington, D.C. — A new poll released today from Navigator Research shows that the President’s economic plan is supported by the majority of Americans across the country, including by a 7-point margin in Congressional Districts narrowly won by Republicans in 2020. The President’s economic plan also earns majority support in key battleground states like Wisconsin and New Hampshire.

Navigator found that 81% of Americans support the President’s plan to expand Medicare to include dental, vision, and hearing, 73% support raising wages for home care workers, 68% support expanding access to long-term care for families that can’t currently afford it, and 66% support expanding health care tax credits to reduce premiums for families.

The majority of Americans support the President’s economic plan.

Each proposal to raise taxes on the wealthy and big corporations also earns strong majority support, including “increasing funding to crack down on tax evasion by large corporations and the wealthiest Americans (72 percent), raising taxes on incomes in the top 2 percent (63 percent), and raising taxes on those earning over $1 million a year from selling stocks and bonds, known as capital gains” (62 percent).

Key proposals earn support from Americans of all political stripes:
