Washington, D.C. — Today, Building Back Together is launching a half a million dollar digital and radio ad campaign communicating directly to Black and Latino communities in Virginia about how the Biden-Harris Administration has delivered for them. The ads are set to air on digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, as well as on radio in English and Spanish across the Commonwealth.

This latest campaign adds to Building Back Together’s more than $16 million in spending so far to boost the Build Back Better Agenda and previous investments in communicating directly to Black and Latino communities across the country about the Biden-Harris Administration’s accomplishments and commitments, including half a million dollars in outreach to Black voters in Georgia and more than two million dollars in outreach to Latino voters in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida.

“Promises” highlights how the Biden-Harris Administration has created thousands of good-paying jobs and is fighting to end the pandemic and bring Virginia back. “Build Back Better for Latinos” highlights for Virginians the successes the Administration has already achieved for Latinos, including getting vaccines to the Latino community, securing funding to reopen schools safely, sending stimulus checks to Latino families, providing loans for Latino small businesses, extending Temporary Protected Status for more than 300,000 people, and more.

“This year has shown Virginians that the Biden-Harris Administration has led and delivered — from getting shots in arms to getting Americans back to work,” said Building Back Together Senior Advisor Addisu Demissie. “With this new investment, we’re directly engaging with Black and Latino Virginians across the Commonwealth about how the President has kept his pledge to uplift all communities, and highlight how the Build Back Better Agenda will deliver for their families by reducing inequality and increasing opportunity for communities of color.”

“It’s critical that we communicate with people of color in Virginia about the progress President Biden has achieved, including ensuring that the economic recovery has reached Black and Latino families disproportionately impacted by the pandemic,” said Building Back Together Chief Strategy Officer Mayra Macías. “At the same time, we recognize there is still work to be done — that’s why we must pass the Build Back Better Agenda and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal to invest in our broken infrastructure and lower the costs of everyday essentials like health care and education, so that we can build back better for all families, including communities of color in Virginia.”
