Following a federal court ruling that threatens DACA, new ad stresses the need for Congress to protect Dreamers once and for all

Washington, D.C. — Today, Building Back Together, a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit focused on advancing progressive policies in the Build Back Better agenda, launched a new television and digital ad urging Congress to create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.

The six-figure ad buy, which begins running this week in Texas and Washington, D.C., fights back against the recent ruling from a federal judge in Texas threatening the future of DACA and halting all new applications to the program.

“Congress has an opportunity now to finally protect Dreamers and create a pathway to citizenship,” said Building Back Together Chief Strategy Officer Mayra Macías. “Dreamers are part of the fabric of our communities, families and economy, and Americans of all political stripes want our leaders to do what’s necessary to protect them. Building Back Together supports President Biden’s call to pass a permanent solution for Dreamers once and for all.”

The ad reminds viewers of the importance of Dreamers to our country. They are our teachers, our soldiers, our business owners, our essential workers, our mothers and fathers. They are Americans.
