STATEMENT ON THE LEGISLATIVE SUCCESSES AND HISTORIC LEGACY OF THE BIDEN-HARRIS ADMINISTRATION

WASHINGTON, D.C. The Biden-Harris Administration has ushered in an era of transformative change, leaving an indelible legacy that has improved lives, uplifted communities and strengthened the foundation of America’s future. Over the past four years, their leadership has advanced policies and legislation that invest in our people, bolster our economy, protect our planet and expand opportunity for all.

Through pivotal legislation — including the American Rescue Plan (ARPA), Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIF), Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA), Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act, CHIPS and Science Act and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) — President Biden and Vice President Harris laid the groundwork for generations of progress. These historic efforts have delivered jobs, reduced health care costs, empowered workers, strengthened our commitment to climate action and protected our communities.

“As we reflect on the past four years of the Biden-Harris Administration, we recognize the tangible progress achieved in communities across the country,” said Javier Gamboa, Deputy Executive Director of Building Back Together. “Through decisive action, President Biden and Vice President Harris addressed critical needs, from expanding health care access to investing in clean energy and creating quality jobs, ensuring every community has had a chance to succeed and thrive. The Biden-Harris legacy is a testament to leadership dedicated to the belief that America works best when everyone has the tools and support they need to thrive.

Defying  all the odds, bringing people together through bipartisanship, this administration was able to pass and sign into law major pieces of legislation that will have broad consequential impacts for generations to come. And most importantly, they have made our country the best place to live and thrive in the world.

As we look back on their accomplishments, Building Back Together celebrates these achievements with gratitude. We remain committed to highlighting and protecting the successes of the past four years and working to safeguard these gains, ensuring this progress endures for future generations.”
