Washington, D.C. — Today, Building Back Together launched a new television and digital ad highlighting the positive impacts of the Build Back Better agenda on Latino workers and families. The initiative’s flagship ad engages Latinos in target markets to spotlight the progressive policy agenda by uplifting the stories of workers and families who have already benefited from the American Rescue Plan.

The six-figure ad buy, which begins airing this week, includes 30-second spots in English and Spanish across Spanish-language television networks in Tucson, Yuma, and Phoenix in Arizona, and Las Vegas and Reno in Nevada. The 15-second English and Spanish ads will run on Pandora, Facebook, and Instagram in Florida and Pennsylvania, as well as on Youtube in Pennsylvania.

The ads were developed by Latino-owned firm Mosaic Campaigns — which produced Latino advertising for the Biden campaign in 2020 — currently led by César Blanco. The campaign is part of Building Back Together’s Latino “always-on” communication initiative launched last week, which will be led by Building Back Together’s Chief Strategy Officer Mayra Macías, with communications strategy support from Bully Pulpit Interactive’s Xochitl Hinojosa, among other partners.

The ad features highlights from President Biden’s first 100 days in office and the accomplishments of the Build Back Better agenda to date, including the delivery of 160 million checks to Americans, more than 200 million vaccine shots in arms, and an investment of $10 billion to expand access to vaccines and better serve the communities hardest-hit by COVID-19.

“The Build Back Better agenda has already helped get people back to work, our economy back on track, money in people’s pockets, and shots in arms,” said Danielle Melfi, Building Back Together Executive Director. “This agenda is having a direct impact on Latino families, and we will tell these stories in both English and Spanish across the country.”

“Building Back Together is making early investments in communicating the Build Back Better agenda to the Latino community,” said Matt Barreto, Building Back Together Senior Advisor. “This is an ‘always-on’ initiative that lifts up Latinos and communicates directly with our community about how a progressive policy agenda that puts families, workers, and small businesses first will benefit all of us..”
