WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Navigator Research released new polling that demonstrates wide support among the American people for Judge Jackson following her confirmation to the Supreme Court. A majority of Americans support Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation, including 81% of Democrats, 24% of Republicans, and 47% of Independents – an increase of 14 points since early April among Independents. Support is particularly strong among Black Americans, 75% of whom back Judge Jackson’s confirmation.

Navigator’s focus group research also showed Americans recognize that President Biden fulfilled his promise with Judge Jackson’s confirmation, with a soft Democrat in Nevada saying “I think that it’s really wonderful that we have a new Black woman sitting on the Supreme Court” and an independent in Wisconsin citing getting “a Black woman judge” as something President Biden “said he was going to do” and delivered.
