NEW: OHIO DESIGNATED AS A REGIONAL TECH HUB THANKS TO BIDEN-HARRIS ADMINISTRATION
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Monday, the Biden-Harris Administration announced that Ohio — along with 31 other sites nationally — will become a national Innovation and Technology Hub through the Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration. The Sustainable Polymers Tech Hub, led by the Greater Akron Chamber, will invest in sustainable polymer (rubbers and plastics) manufacturing.
“There’s no doubt about it: President Biden is doubling down on his commitment to Ohio workers and the Ohio economy with the Biden Administration’s tech hub at the Greater Akron Chamber,” said Mayra Macías, Executive Director of Building Back Together. “The Sustainable Polymers Tech Hub, is a major investment in the technology and infrastructure we need to grow Ohio’s manufacturing economy for decades to come.”
Here’s what Ohio elected officials are saying about the Biden Administration’s Sustainable Polymers Tech Hub:
