CELEBRATING PRESIDENT BIDEN’S HISTORIC INVESTMENTS IN PENNSYLVANIA’S INFRASTRUCTURE DURING NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE WEEK

WASHINGTON, D.C. — This National Infrastructure Week, Building Back Together is celebrating the historic progress made by the Biden-Harris Administration’s investments in Pennsylvania’s infrastructure — investing $16 billion to fund 469 projects across the state.

“This National Infrastructure Week marks a pivotal moment as we celebrate the Biden-Harris Administration’s historic investments to upgrade Pennsylvania’s critical infrastructure — all while simultaneously creating thousands of good-paying jobs for workers nationwide. These investments, from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Inflation Reduction Act, and more, showcase how President Biden is delivering for workers and investing in the long-term success of our nation’s economy,” said Blake Goodman, Building Back Together Communications Director. “As we head into the summer, millions of hardworking Pennsylvanians traveling around the country will see freshly repaired highways, brand new airport terminals, and union crews upgrading our infrastructure as President Biden’s Investing in America agenda gets to work prioritizing investments in their communities and the creation of the jobs of the future, today.”

Notable Infrastructure projects funded by the Biden-Harris Administration include:

  • Up to $750 million for the Mid-Atlantic Hydrogen Hub, which will provide for hydrogen-driven decarbonation and the repurposing of historic oil infrastructure in the region.
  • $143 million for track and signal upgrades on the Pennsylvanian Rail Corridor to improve safety, reduce travel times, and benefit freight rail.
  • $857 million to modernize and expand Montgomery Locks — supporting critical supply chains and lower costs for hardworking families.
  • $78 million to improve parts of Roosevelt Boulevard to address safety and accessibility — while creating jobs for disadvantaged communities and offering registered apprenticeships to train new workers.
