BUILDING BACK TOGETHER THANKS CBC MEMBERS FOR THEIR LEADERSHIP IN PASSING BIPARTISAN INFRASTRUCTURE LAW

Six-figure ad campaign thanks CBC members for passing Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, highlights concrete successes delivered by the bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As a part of Building Back Together’s multi-million dollar campaign to highlight passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Building Back Together launched a new ad campaign on print, digital, and radio reaching Black communities across the country to thank members of the Congressional Black Caucus for their leadership in passing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and highlighting how this legislation will create good-paying jobs, fix crumbling roads and bridges, bring supply chains back to the U.S., provide clean water and more. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law makes significant investments in rectifying economic disparities and decades of disinvestment, and creates opportunities for working people and communities of color.

The six-figure ad campaign has run in Black media outlets and on digital platforms targeting Black communities since December, thanking CBC members including Rep. Joyce Beatty, Rep. Sanford Bishop, Rep. G.K. Butterfield, Rep. Jim Clyburn, Rep. Steven Horsford, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, and Rep. Joe Neguse. This six-figure campaign is part of a previously announced $10 million push to speak to Americans about the President’s economic agenda, which began by highlighting the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and will continue when the Build Back Better Act is signed into law.

The ads come in addition to other investments thanking the President for breaking through gridlock in Washington to secure this bipartisan deal to fix the country’s crumbling infrastructure and restore America’s competitiveness, including a TV ad campaign in Arizona, Georgia, New Hampshire, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C., digital ads, and billboards near major infrastructure projects, and boosting news clips on Facebook to share local impacts with key audiences. The campaign also adds to the already significant investments Building Back Together has made in reaching communities of color across the country, including in Georgia and Virginia.

Building Back Together has spent more than $25 million so far to build support for President Biden’s agenda, including both the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Build Back Better legislation. Polling has consistently shown the deep popularity of the President’s agenda, and research commissioned by Building Back Together has shown that Members of Congress who back the agenda see a 17-point boost in support in battleground states and House districts.
