BUILDING BACK TOGETHER ANNOUNCES EXPANSION, NEW HIRES

 WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Building Back Together is announcing the latest expansion of its team as the organization grows in 2022. Building Back Together was founded in the spring of 2021 to advocate for the Biden-Harris Administration’s policy agenda. Adam Zuckerman is joining as Building Back Together’s Chief Communications Program Officer, Blake Goodman is joining as National Press Secretary, Eileen Garcia is joining as Coalitions Communications Manager, Korey Salter is joining as Black Engagement Director, Sol Ortega is joining as Latino Engagement Deputy Director, Neeharika Simha is joining as Content Producer, Olivia Eggers is joining as Deputy Press Secretary, and Jordan Weir is joining as Development Manager. 

Rachel Irwin, Building Back Together’s Chief Paid Media and Message Officer, will now serve as Chief Paid Media and Message Officer for Building Back Together’s independent arm, which will operate separately and independently from Building Back Together, in order to continue advocacy work in support of the progressive policy agenda of the Biden-Harris Administration. 

Adam Zuckerman, Building Back Together Chief Communications Program Officer

Prior to joining Building Back Together, Adam Zuckerman served as the Direct Mail Director for the Biden-Harris presidential campaign and as a Senior Product Manager on the 59th Presidential Inaugural Committee. He has also worked at House Majority PAC and for then-Virginia House of Delegates Minority Leader Eileen Filler-Corn, Attorney General Mark Herring, and LuAnn Bennett’s congressional campaign. Adam is a graduate of James Madison University.

Blake Goodman, Building Back Together National Press Secretary

Blake Goodman is joining Building Back Together as National Press Secretary. Prior to joining BBT, Blake served as Communications and Legislative Director for Michigan State Representative Mari Manoogian (MI-40). He is an alumnus of the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs and received his Masters in Media and Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Eileen Garcia, Building Back Together Coalitions Communications Manager

Eileen Garcia is joining Building Back Together after most recently serving as Vice President of Solidarity Strategies, one of the nation’s largest Latino-owned and operated political consulting firms. She also worked on the Bernie 2020 campaign as National Surrogate Communications Coordinator. She is an alumna of Florida International University and Northern Virginia Community College. 

Korey Salter, Building Back Together Black Engagement Director

Korey Salter is joining Building Back Together as the Black Engagement Director. Prior to joining BBT, Korey served as regional candidate fundraiser director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign committee. He has also worked as a fundraiser for Congresswoman Val Demings and Florida Gubernatorial Nominee Andrew Gillum. He is an Alumnus of the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Business Administration Candidate at American University.

Sol Ortega, Building Back Together Latino Engagement Deputy Director

Prior to joining Building Back Together, Sol Ortega served as the Deputy Director of Engagement to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. She also worked for Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09) as a Staff Assistant and Legislative Correspondent, and for Hispanic Latino Affairs department at the University of Florida where she earned her BA.

Neeharika Simha, Building Back Together Content Producer

Neeharika Simha most recently served as the Paid Media Production Assistant at Biden for President. She has also worked at NFL Films and goPuff, and is a graduate of Drexel University.

Olivia Eggers, Building Back Together Deputy Press Secretary 

Olivia Eggers most recently served as a Speechwriting Fellow in the Office of Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and has also worked in communications for Molly Mitchell Public Relations, EMILY’s List, and Senator Chris Murphy. She is a graduate of Georgetown University.

Jordan Weir, Building Back Together Development Manager

Jordan Weir is joining Building Back Together as Development Manager after previously working in development at the Maternity Care Coalition. She is an alumna of the University of Pennsylvania and Washington College.
