Six-figure buy in the D.C. media market highlights how the Inflation Reduction Act delivers on President Biden’s plan to lower costs for working families

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Building Back Together is launching a new, six-figure television ad campaign in Washington, D.C., urging Congress to pass the Inflation Reduction Act. The ad, “Kept Working,” highlights the ways this legislation, a key element of President Biden’s cost-cutting agenda, will fight inflation by lowering the cost of essentials like health care, prescription drugs, and energy bills, all while reducing the deficit – and without raising taxes on anyone making less than $400,000 a year.

It also represents the most significant climate action in history, with funding to boost American clean energy production, secure American energy independence, and help bring down energy bills for the average family by as much as $1,800 a year. Poll after poll continues to show that key provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act earn majority support with the American people.

“Passing the Inflation Reduction Act would be a major victory that would deliver on President Biden’s agenda to cut costs for working families,” said Building Back Together Executive Director Danielle Melfi. “This legislation will ease the pressure of inflation, help us reach critical climate goals, and make big corporations pay their fair share in taxes. Yet again, President Biden is putting working families first in his tireless efforts to bring down costs and strengthen America’s economy.”

This six-figure ad campaign builds on more than $30 million in spending to date from Building Back Together highlighting the positive impacts of President Biden’s agenda. Last month, BBT launched six-figure investments highlighting the president’s work to deliver the most significant, bipartisan gun safety legislation in decades, and how President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is replacing lead pipes and investing in public transportation in communities across the country.
