WASHINGTON, D.C. — Building Back Together is announcing a seven-figure ad campaign celebrating President Biden signing the Inflation Reduction Act, groundbreaking legislation to bring down health care and prescription drug costs, lower energy bills, and make big corporations pay their fair share without raising taxes on anyone making under $400,000. This campaign thanks President Biden and Democrats in Congress for their tireless efforts to get this legislation across the finish line — and calls out MAGA politicians who sided with special interests like Big Pharma, Big Oil, and big corporations to oppose it. Television, radio, and digital ads will air in English and Spanish in Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and DC with a focus on Black and Latino communities, communicating how the law will cut costs for families.
“The Inflation Reduction Act is a once-in-a-generation investment to lower costs for working families, and President Biden got it done,” said Building Back Together Executive Director Danielle Melfi. “This legislation will help families get the care they need at prices they can afford. With this seven-figure ad campaign, Building Back Together tops $35 million in spending to date highlighting the positive impacts of President Biden’s agenda. Two weeks ago, BBT launched a six-figure investment calling on Congress to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, and in the prior month, launched campaigns highlighting the president’s work to deliver the most significant, bipartisan gun safety legislation in decades, and how President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is securing clean drinking water and investing in public transportation in communities across the country.
