ADVANCING EQUITY AND OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL AMERICANS: BUILDING BACK TOGETHER CELEBRATES THE BIDEN-HARRIS LEGACY

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Since taking office, the Biden-Harris Administration has taken bold steps to advance racial and economic equity, ensuring that every American has an equal opportunity to succeed. Through groundbreaking initiatives like the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and targeted investments in housing and education, President Biden and Vice President Harris have actively worked to uplift communities of color, combat housing discrimination, and foster small business growth across the nation. Key policies such as protections against junk fees in housing and increased funding for HBCUs, HSIs and Tribal Colleges have empowered these communities with the resources they need to thrive​.

Key policies have also supported affordable housing and homeownership. The administration’s efforts to expand access to capital have empowered thousands of Black- and Latino-owned businesses, with Black small business ownership reaching its highest level in 30 years.

This commitment to equity extends to the administration’s work with Native communities, with $45 billion in dedicated funding to strengthen Tribal sovereignty, enhance infrastructure and expand community-led stewardship of federal lands. Programs aimed at increasing educational and job opportunities for Native youth, alongside robust Tribal consultations, further underscore this administration’s efforts to foster self-governance and economic resilience in Indian Country​.
